Teesside Sport Girls’ Regional Talent Club Trials*

We are holding an open online trial process for female football players who wish to excel in the sport.
There are 3 tiers of RTCs and we hold a Tier 2 Licence. RTCs exist to develop England international players capable of winning major championships and players to exit at U16’s into the highest possible level.  Teesside Sport RTC has a firm focus on player development and the very highest standards of application are expected of players.
 
Successful trialists at U12, U13, U14 and U16 will train and play full time with the RTC during the 2020/2021 season. U12/U13/U14 age groups at the RTC will compete in a boy’s league (TJFA) and U16’s will play in a weekly regional fixture programme with other RTCs with additional fixtures against out of region clubs and male teams.

All players will have to commit to the full training programme.

Monday – Strength and Conditioning (U14/U16 only)
Tuesday – Technical/Tactical
Wednesday – Movement Mastery
Thursday – Technical/Tactical
Saturday – Game Day U16
Sunday - Game Day U12/U13/U14

Due to the current world pandemic Covid-19 we will be holding a virtual online trails.

Attached is a link with tasks each applicant must view and copy the task whilst being recored on a videoing devise.

Once complete, upload the video with player name and age group in the subject and email to Stephanie_turnbull12@hotmail.com . If the applicant has any other game or training to support the application please feel free to include it in the email.


Once reviewed by technical staff each applicant will receive feedback and 1of the following:
* Offered a 1 year contract.
* Invited to attend a practise once guidelines allow.
* Receive a unsuccessful letter.


Players who wish to take part in the 2020/2021 virtual trial must complete the application below and send in the videos by 5pm Sunday 28th June 2020.


Additional Information

Please consider that these trials are intended for girls of an ‘Talent’ standard. Please do not nominate girls who are not of this standard as the trial process could have a negative impact on their development.

There are only a set number of places available in each age-group squad and the nature of an ‘Talent programme’ means that players will be selected on their potential to develop into international football players. Unfortunately this means that some players will be unsuccessful and it is important that players and parents realise this prior. Unsuccessful players will be given details of local Charter Standard club, Women’s and girl’s development officers at local county FA’s and Player Development Centres to help with their continued development.

There will be a £200 charge for the season for players successful at trials. This will cover all training costs, medical and sports science support. It also includes all training and playing kit for the 2020-2021 season. This is a standard charge across RTCs around the country and is necessary to offset the costs associated with running the Centre. There will be various payment options available for successful trialists and options for those unable to pay the costs.

The Regional Talent Club age banding run on an Academic Calendar (September – August) and are in line with grass roots football clubs.
