People Recommender System (Scoop.IT)

My name is Kamakshi Rajagopal. I am doctoral researcher at the Open Universiteit in the Netherlands (, where I am working on new people recommendation strategies, together with my supervisors Prof. Dr. Peter Sloep and Dr. Jan van Bruggen. One of the things that we are investigating is facilitation of online networking, by creating user profiles on the basis of curation activities.

In the context of this research, we would like to take up your Scoop.IT page in our study as well. Your page has been chosen on the basis of its topic and on its Scoop.IT score. All pages will be anonymised in the study. May we please invite you to fill in this form to give us permission to include your Scoop.IT page in our study?

We would also like to invite you to take part in an experiment within this research. In this experiment, you will be sent a personalised 15min-survey where you will be asked to rate a number of recommendations made especially for you. You can participate by signing up below.

We also include the reference to a publication, which has already appeared as part of this research.

Please be assured that any personal information you choose to give us will be treated confidentially and will be not be shared with any third parties.
If you have any questions, you can always get in touch with us through e-mail ( or on Twitter.

Thank you very much!
