College Entrance Essay Class

In this class, students will learn how to tackle college entrance essay prompts with a three draft writing format. Class sessions will be limited to five students and take place on Zoom. We will study an example of a college entrance essay, and students will write their own brainstorming and rough drafts. Students will be encouraged to write their second drafts, and possibly their final drafts in the same session. (This is writing intensive.) Students will be allowed to take short breaks, but the "camera" of their Zoom session must remain on for 90% of the session so the teacher knows they are engaged in the task at hand.
