In response to requests from teachers AR AIMS has created an alternative for our 12 hour summer LTF Infused On-Level Chemistry Workshop. There are some important differences between the 12 hour workshop and the alternative workshop. Teachers who attend the 12 hour workshop have access to the Google Site associated with the workshop for three years. Teachers who attend the alternative workshop have access to the Google Site for one year. Teachers who attend the alternative workshop will have access to the Google Site Manager, who will answer questions or help with matters involving the curriculum on the site. These teachers will also receive updates and new material throughout their year of access.

AR AIMS strongly believes that teachers who attend a 12 hour training on the curriculum and Google Site are the best prepared for the implementation of the curriculum. However, the alternative workshop will allow teachers access to the curriculum with an abbreviated orientation to the Google Site.

Teachers who register for the Alternative Summer Workshop will be given access to the Google Site and receive assignments once registration is complete and will be contacted by Tanya Ruble to verify registration. Teachers will be expected to complete the assignments (for 2 hours of PD credit) within two weeks of registration. Teachers will meet with an AR AIMS Content Director by Zoom for a 2 hour orientation. These will be scheduled individually at the convenience of the teacher and the AR AIMS staff member.
