Join us in the gallery for some slow, stretchy yoga and learn about the artwork on view. Led by yoga practitioner, Ashley Kirvin, this class that will allow you to explore a gentle & grounded yoga practice paired with seated mindfulness meditation amidst our Annual Landscape Show.
This practice will allow us to slow down and spend more time looking at and experiencing the art around us. There will be time for journaling, sketching and conversation at the end of the class allowing us to reflect on the experience and the art.
Please bring your own yoga & meditation props (mat, cushions, blankets, etc.) that support your practice and wear clothing that allows for comfort in both movement and sitting. Chairs will be available for those who would like them.
Creating community connection is an important part of both art & yoga and we are offering this class as a fundraiser for ASAP, After School Arts Program, an organization in Des Moines that
brings to life the dignity and wonder of imagination within every child through the arts.
