Northeastern University Dragon & Lion Dance Troupe - Performance Request Form
We are a group of driven college students who seek to spread Chinese culture through artful and unique performances of Chinese Dragon Dance and Lion Dance.

Since our founding in 2015, we have grown to perform all over the Boston area, such as at colleges/universities, grand openings, company events, competitions, and even performing the openers for the 2022 and 2023 Asian American Day Festival at Boston Common.

Lunar New Year season is an incredibly busy time of year for us -- please check our Google calendar prior to requesting a performance! Please also note that we are unlikely to accept performance requests in January / February, but will be open to performance requests from March onwards.

We will respond back to you with our performance availability and communicate with you to confirm additional details and logistics (e.g. performance area / stage size, transportation, honorarium). Please also keep in mind that our members are all college students, therefore, it may be difficult for us to do weekday performances due to classes. 

Dragon dance performances require a larger performance area / stage size, so we will need to confirm feasibility when this is requested. We typically ask for a performance area of 30 x 30 feet for dragon dance, but smaller spaces may be possible with a modified/restricted choreography.

Pricing / Honorarium
As a preface, we are a non-profit student organization and do not profit from our performances, but we request an honorarium to cover expenses and not financially burden our performers who are not paid. 

We will request an honorarium that varies depending on the type of performance, location, and date/time of a performance. This cost includes the transportation stipend to transport the dragon and/or lions, instruments, and our team of performers. 

We understand that different organizations have different budgets, so please let us know if your quoted price (which you will receive after we review your performance request) is not within your current budget so we can discuss this matter further.
