PK-6 WTSD Parent Survey (June 2020)
On June 26, the New Jersey Department of Education released The Road Back: Restart and Recovery Plan for Education. Considering the DOE's guidance and requirements, there are many decisions that local districts will need to make in order to create a plan for successfully reopening schools. Please complete this brief survey by Friday, July 10. Your input will inform WTSD's plan for reopening schools in September.
Your email address
Given the current guidelines and social distancing requirements, are you planning to send your child back to school in September?
If you answered "no" to the previous question, please select one of the following options:
I plan to withdraw my child(ren) from school and homeschool him/her/them.
I prefer that the school provides remote instruction for my child(ren).
Due to social distancing requirements, children will be required to wear masks on the bus to/from school. Please indicate your preference below, as this will enable us to plan bus routes more effectively. (Note: Based on seat capacity, it is possible that there will be 2-3 students per seat on each bus.)
I plan to send my child on the bus with a mask.
I would be willing to accept a transportation waiver and drive/walk my child to school instead.
FOR PARENTS OF STUDENTS WITH AN IEP: Considering my child's IEP:
I would prefer my child attend school in-person, every day, and I would be willing to amend his/her IEP to accomplish this.
I would be willing for my child to participate in a hybrid model with his/her classmates (both in-person and remote instruction), and I would be willing to amend his/her IEP to meet my child's needs with this structure.
