2025 JACL DC Mochitsuki Volunteer Sign-Up
Thank you for your interest in volunteering at the 2025 JACL DC Chapter's Mochitsuki preparation & events! Find additional information below for volunteer roles at the different prepatory events & Mochitsuki.

Please take a look at the information below about volunteering events:
11/30, 10 AM - Raffle Baskets Packaging (Linda's House, at 6 Stevens Court Rockville, MD 20850):
    Help compile and wrap raffle baskets. This event will continue until baskets are completed (~2-3 hours)

12/6, 12:30 PM - Mochi Wrapping (Edson & Lisa's House, at 9604 Persimmon Tree Rd Potomac, MD 20854):
    Participate in a potluck lunch & mingle. Followed by cutting, wrapping, and packaging mochi. This event will continue until mochi wrapping is completed (~3-4 hours)

12/7, 9:30 AM - 3:30 PM - Mochitsuki @ Whitman High School (7100 Whittier Blvd, Bethesda, MD 20817):
  Help Mochitsuki come to life! Help set up & break down, sign people in, give people their food, facilitate the craft table, & so much more!

NOTE: All events are difficult to access via public transportation, so we are happy to offer carpools to anyone who needs it & appreciate any volunteers who can carpool people!
