Thank you for your interest in Alaska Vintage Markets. We are so happy to be hosting three shows in 2023 (one spring show in May and two holiday shows in November). All three Alaska Vintage Markets shows are held at the Alaska State Fairgrounds in scenic and historic Palmer, Alaska. Under the shadows of Pioneer Peak, this family fun festival showcases the BEST in creative Alaskans. We strive to care for our vendors and to add activities that keep the shoppers coming back for more each year.
Our spring market is May 12-14 in the big spacious State Fair barn. This unique venue provides the rustic shopping vendor appeal. We also will be keeping all the food trucks out front on the purple trail.
Our holiday markets are November 17-19 and November 24-26 in the warmer Raven Hall and Hoskins buildings. These venues provide the best shopping experience with a magical appeal.
In an effort to provide a unique experience for our customers, the organizing board will evaluate applications with these ideas in mind:
o Vendors are included in events on an invitation-only basis. We accept applications from interested vendors year round.
o Highest priority will be given to vendors showing items that are hand-crafted, creative, and unique.
o. We strive to have unique vendors in our events. When possible, we avoid repeating many of the same types of items in a specific show. At the same time we understand that some vendors have similar categories of items (furniture, jewelry, signs, etc.) but also have their own spin on style and creativity.
o We value positive interactions with other vendors and customers. Character matters! We want our customers to not only be happy with the products that they buy at our markets, but also with the vendors who they meet.
o Set-up and display are very important to us and all of our customers who come to the show. Vendors are expected to have their booths styled in an attractive and creative manner. We are looking for unique and creative displays. Merchandise must be displayed in a way that looks pleasing and inviting. (We prefer not to have 10 x 10 white pop up tents.) Don’t forget to send us photos to
akvintagemarkets@gmail.com of your look, displays, and creative merchandising talents after you fill out the online application. If you have not sold at a show before, please do not hesitate to apply! We love dreamers and creative souls that are pursuing their visions and passions. We are encouraging everyone to try to decorate in keeping with our Vintage Market themes. The theme for May will be "Forget-Me-Not" November will be "Holly Holidays".
o This is not a flea-market type of show. We are looking for vendors who are making and/or designing their own products. We do not have any multi-level marketing kinds of businesses in our shows.
o Vendors must have at least one person working in their booth at all times. If you will need relief for lunch, etc., please bring a helper with you but we do provide a friendly on-site manager that can relieve you if you are alone.
