DEAA: JON PATTE COACHING AWARD
HISTORY
Jon Patte was an exemplary coach and teacher with the Durham District School Board for 30 years before he passed away from cancer in 2011. Jon had a brilliant career teaching Math, English and Physical Education but his real passion was coaching a multitude of sports both within the school and within the community. Jon dedicated countless hours to being involved in sports including X-Country, Volleyball, Basketball, Wrestling, Folk Dance, Track and Field and Hockey.

The Jon Patte Coaching Award will be presented each year to the teacher/coach who best exemplifies what Jon did for countless Durham student athletes; a commitment to excellence, unbridled enthusiasm, a strong work ethic, integrity and a passion to play the game.

Nominations for this award will be accepted throughout the year and the award will be presented to the deserving recipient at the September AGM. Please provide us with the person you have chosen to be nominated for this award along with a brief description of their contributions to Durham Elementary Athletics.
