Please make sure you answer every question, otherwise the form will not be submitted. It is very important that captains read up on the scheduling criteria and info on this page:
http://rollercon.com/events/challenges. Submissions that don't meet the criteria won't be scheduled.
Please check out SKATER SKILL LEVELS before you submit your challenge request:
http://rollercon.com/about/skater-skill-levels. Captains are responsible for enforcing skill levels.
To get scheduled:
1. BOTH captains must be RollerCon passholders. We check.
2. All info in the form must be complete, including shirt colors, etc.
3. CHECK YOUR EMAIL ADDRESSES TWICE. About 10% of the forms get submitted with typos in the email addresses. A high percentage have the same email for both captains. To get scheduled, we need real emails for two different real people who have RC passes, that you have double checked for typos.
60 minute bouts are limited. If you would like a 60 minute bout, please check the link above to brush up on what we look for: super fun visual themes and high level skaters that will be great to watch. Costumes, rivalries, FUN.
PLEASE ONLY REGISTER YOUR OWN CHALLENGE. Do not try to game the system by registering a bunch of challenges you aren't captaining or registering a bout if you don't have an opponent to play.
CAPTAINS ARE LIMITED TO ONE CHALLENGE. Only one will be scheduled, so please don't crowd up our challenge form.
YOU ARE IN CHARGE OF GAME RESTRICTIONS.
It is up to the captains to manage all game restrictions (skill level, uniform color, etc). There are no cops who are going to kick out drop ins who don't meet the restrictions YOU place on this game: it's entirely up to you. Wrong skill level folks will always try to drop in! Especially those hungry players who say they'll "play down" - who can ruin a game for players who don't want to go up against them. So if you can't tell someone "no," find a co-captain, bench manager or other person who likes that responsibility. RollerCon does not manage your game restrictions at all, other than the officials making sure your uniform meets our guidelines and your play meets the game rule standards.
*****************************************
What happens when you get scheduled?
1. We set up an entry for your bout on our Google calendar.
2. We invite your captains to the calendar entry. If your captains have Gmail addresses, you will probably want to use them on our roster form so you can see it in your Google calendar. If the time seems weird, the message may have switched to your local time zone. You can see Vegas time in the app when search for your team name(s). In the calendar= in the app (make sure you update!)
3. The calendar invitation might have more words in it. Please read them.
4. Captains do not have to accept the calendar invitation
5. If the time does not work or you are not coming to RollerCon, your best bet is to find a new captain. Otherwise, we can cancel your spot but we can't change it (sorry).
6. If you do need to cancel or your change captains, please send an email to
rollercon@gmail.com with your CHALLENGE TEAM and DAY and TIME of CHALLENGE in the email header and we will cancel it and book another challenge from the queue.
