Carter Kosick Memorial AST 1 Award – Youth Avalanche Training Application

Each year, this award will support one youth rider in accessing Avalanche Skills Training (AST 1), helping to build the knowledge and confidence to ride safely in the terrain Carter loved so much.

The recipient of the Carter Kosick Memorial AST 1 Award will be responsible for selecting and registering for their own certified AST 1 course with a recognized provider.

Once registration is complete, the BCSF will facilitate a reimbursement or direct payment of up to $500 toward the course cost. Proof of registration (and/or receipt) will be required to process the award.

If you are unsure which course provider to choose, the BCSF can assist in suggesting an option in your region.
