A one-day discussion about future science for an environmentally and economically sustainable New Zealand.
• Zero Carbon 2050 – economic threat or opportunity?
• Are there technologies in which New Zealand has a competitive advantage?
• How does New Zealand leverage these to become a world leader both in terms of our
vision for a sustainable energy and emissions future and in terms of our
entrepreneurial ability to act on that vision?
• What part does renewables driven by materials technology play in this long term goal?
• What science done now will make the biggest difference 20 years in the future?
• How do we develop New Zealand’s capability to take full advantage of sustainable
technologies?
