Save the date: Wednesday, June 29 at the Richmond Food Bank (5:00-7:30)
Join us as we spark conversations around affordable housing in Richmond.
Securing affordable housing in Richmond is challenging. With the BC Housings waitlist in Richmond growing by 28% between 2017-2019, the Richmond Poverty Response Coalition (RPRC) has continued to push for more concrete actions to get residents into dignified, affordable housing.
Inspired by the upcoming muncipal elections in October 2022, the RPRC is launching it's R.E.N.T. campaign (Richmond Electors Need Tenancy) to motivate city officials to support it's electors by:
1. Creating a central registry and waitlist for available L.E.M.R. units (Low End Market Rentals).
2. Using city-owned land to build and densify with more Below Market Rentals.
This event is a space for you and other residents to come together and share your thoughts on affordable housing in Richmond and to help strengthen the objectives of the R.E.N.T. campaign. There will be opportunities to participate in further actions to support the campaign at the end of the event.
Please take a moment to fill out the form below.
