Canvas is a web-based learning management system, or LMS. Bend-La Pine MS and HS educators and students will use Canvas to access and manage online course learning materials and communicate about skill development and learning achievement. MS and HS instructors need a Canvas account and a "Teacher Role".

Bend-La Pine may also use Canvas to deliver professional development opportunities for BLP staff. If you will participate in a PD course, you will need a Canvas account and a "Student Role".

Staff who support students but do not create content for courses may use the "Grade Guardian Advisor" role to monitor a group of students or the "Observer Role" to pair with specific students.
