DEXTER DAZE - Light Parade Registration
All entries must be reviewed and approved by the Dexter Daze Committee prior to participation in the parade. If you have questions, please contact Dexter Daze at: dexterdazeinfo@gmail.com. Drivers of motorized vehicles must be at least 18 years of age and have a valid driver’s license. Please submit a copy of the driver's license and proof of insurance to dexterdazeinfo@gmail.com no later than one week prior to parade day! We cannot check for license and insurance on day of parade and, without it, you will not be able to participate.

Please read the following Rules of Participation before completing your parade application: 1-ALL entries must have lights on them, including walking groups. 2-There will be no more than 60 entries. Entries will be evaluated for acceptance based on theme use, entertainment value and use of lights (clear and colored). 3-Animal entries will be accepted into the parade as long as all animals are leashed. If you have a vehicle accompanying your animals, you MUST have lights on the vehicle, as well as the animals. 4-No unit will be admitted into the parade that has not been pre-approved. Entries will not be accepted after December 6th, 2019. 5-The Dexter Daze Committee reserves the right to reject any entry that is not in good taste, inappropriate, or is not in the best interest of the parade. 6-Entries depicting a political organization, candidate, or controversial issue will not be considered. 7-Maximum height for entries is 12. 6 feet from the ground. Maximum width is 8.6 feet. 8-All units are required to maintain forward motion at all times. No maneuvers are allowed that slows the forward movement of the parade. 9-All entries should be properly identified with signs and/or banners depicting the organization’s name, so spectators know who you are. A holiday message is suggested. This is not a commercial parade -- please no sales messages. 10-Drivers of motorized vehicles must be at least 18 years of age and have a valid driver’s license. Dexter Daze must receive a copy of the driver’s license (and insurance) at least one week prior to the parade day. 11-Sirens and Horns -- please limit the use of them due to participants that may have music and in keeping with the holiday ambiance. 12-Only one powered vehicle will be permitted for each entry. 13-Walkers must be able to keep up with the pace and length of the parade. 14-Equestrian and animal units must provide their own accompanying clean-up personnel and equipment. Please make sure the horses have the proper shoes. If you have a vehicle, carriage, etc. with the animals, it MUST have lights on it to be permitted in the parade. 15-All parade participants are required to conduct themselves in a manner demonstrating respect and acknowledging the rights of those living in and along the staging areas and parade route. NO solicitation is allowed during the event. 16-Applications must be received by the Dexter Daze Committee on or before Friday, December 6th, 2019. 17-No Santa or Mrs. Claus please. We have the real Santa! 18-If you register to participate and must cancel prior to the event, please notify us at dexterdazeinfo@gmail.com. 19-Selecting I HAVE READ AND AGREE means you have read and agree to the above rules of participation in the Dexter Light Parade! * *
