We're excited to announce a fantastic opportunity for you to 'giddy-up' and sell your wares at Hastings Racecourse & Casino for our Community Market events during the 2024 Racing Season.

Hastings Racetrack & Casino is a beloved family destination famous for its thrilling races and lively atmosphere. Located next to Playland, it's a hub of fun and entertainment. This indoor market will be held in the building's mezzanine, with over 60 vendor stalls available.

We invite vendors to participate in this season's market. It's a wonderful chance to showcase your products and connect with a diverse audience.

We look forward to a successful season filled with excitement, entertainment, and community spirit.

Market will take place outdoors Vendors please provide a 10*10 tent with weights. 

Please note the following vendors are not permitted:

-Alcohol

-Cannabis and any cannabis related or CBD products;

- Items prohibited by law;
- Firearms and any firearm related items;
- Weapons of any kind;
- Pharmaceutical products;
- fruits and vegetables;
- pre-packaged food and drink items;
- online gaming;
- sports betting;
-cigarettes including e-cigarettes;
 any tobacco product

Vendors are expected to conduct themselves professionally at all times and interact respectfully with customers, staff, and fellow vendors.

Each vendor is responsible for the setup and aesthetics of their stall. Please ensure your area is clean, attractive, and well-organized throughout the event.

In the event of poor air quality leading to event cancellation, full refunds will be provided to all vendors.

All Vendors must contain their display, work and storage boxes within the dimensions of the space they rented.

Vendors are to ensure that their display is set up and staffed when the Event opens

Spaces not occupied within the 1st hour of Set up an hour of Event opening will result in forfeiture of both the booth and all monies paid

Each participant is responsible for following all federal, provincial, and municipal regulations and restrictions regarding their individual craft

Load In/Out Procedures

 

Load In:

Load-in times are scheduled for:
Friday Evening market is 4:0-6:00/ Leave 10:00pm-11:00pm  
Saturday Market Load in 12:00-1:45/ Leave 6:00-8:30
 Late arrivals may not be accommodated. Vendors will enter through the designated gate (detailed maps will be provided).Vehicles must be unloaded promptly and moved to the vendor parking area before setting up stalls.

 

During the Event:

Vendors must keep their stalls open and staffed throughout market hours .Restocking vehicles during the event is not permitted to ensure the safety and flow of traffic.

 

Load Out:

Load out begins immediately after the market closes and must be completed within 2 hours.To ensure the safety of all attendees, no vehicle movement is allowed in the vendor area until the official load-out time.Vendors are responsible for removing all their trash and leaving their space clean.

 

Compliance:

Failure to comply with these guidelines and procedures may result in removal from the market and potential barring from future events.

Community Market will Market & advertise all Events, we cannot guarantee the amount of shoppers turnout  at each Market.

Smoking and Vaping are not permitted in booths or within the Event building

If I cannot attend, I will notify the market organizers and forfeit my fees. My spot cannot be shared or transferred. 2) I understand that due to COVID-19, the event may be postponed and the fee I paid will be used as a credit toward a rescheduled market date. 3) I agree to follow all COVID-19 protocols put in place by the Government of British Columbia at the time of the market, which includes mask mandates for indoor and outdoor spaces. 4) I will stay for the entire duration of the market from 11am to 4pm. I will be completely set up when the doors open at 11am. I also understand the takedown time is from 4pm - 5pm. 5) I agree I will promote the market on my social media platforms and share/invite friends to the Market.
