Expression of Interest: Judging the ATOM Awards 2026

The ATOM Awards have celebrated excellence in screen production and media education for more than four decades, recognising outstanding work from students and emerging creators across Australia. As we relaunch the Awards in 2026, we are seeking a diverse panel of volunteer judges to help select this year’s winners.

We welcome expressions of interest from teachers, filmmakers, media educators, screen practitioners, academics and professionals working across film, television, animation, games and the broader creative industries. We are particularly keen to assemble a judging panel that reflects the breadth of Australia’s screen and media communities.

Judges will be invited to review shortlisted entries remotely and cast their votes between 30 September and 5 October 2026. An invitation to attend the ATOM Awards Ceremony at ACMI on Friday 30 October 2026 is included.

Previous judging experience is welcome but not essential. Above all, we are looking for passionate people with experience in education, storytelling and screen production who are excited to support the next generation of Australian media makers.
