We are recruiting high school teachers of Technology & Engineering Education (T&E) in the all states, who will deliver the ExCITE AP-CSP by Design course within their Technology and Engineering Education classrooms and labs during the 2027-28 school year.
To be eligible:
* You must be a certified/licensed technology/engineering education teacher in your state
* Computer Science teachers are not eligible unless you are dual certified as a technology/engineering teacher.
* You must be a certified/licensed to teach AP CSP in your state (or eligible to teach a course outside of your certification area)
If you are accepted, you will need to:
* Obtain approval from your high school principal to participate, who must agree to add one or more cestions of AP CSP by Design to the 2027-28 schedule.
* Participate in a 7-day professional development workshop (two 3 hour sessions remotely June 26 and July 10, 2027; five days face-to-face, July 19-23, 2027).
* Teach one class of AP-CSP using the AP-CSP by Design curriculum during the 2027-28 school year to Technology/Engineering students.
* During the school year, participate in monthly 1-hour Zoom meetings.
* Respond to occasional surveys, questionnaires and information gathering requests from the Project Researcher and External Evaluator.
We have 50 places for 2027-28 ExCITE PD program. All PD will be delivered at the North Carolina State University, Raleigh, NC Campus. Accommodation will be provided at no cost in a downtown Raleigh hotel.
