Please read this section carefully as we made changes to the application process.

Please fill out the form carefully, considering your spring commitments and availability because both factors will affect your percent appointment. Most TA positions are in the introductory courses (Zoology 102, Zoology 151/153 and 152). Minimum appointment we offer is 33.4%. TA positions are salaried positions. Regardless of the hours worked, a TA is compensated for each pay period commensurate with their appointment.

We will make our initial sections immediately following the deadline. First time applicants will receive a call for an interview before May 1. We will continue to accept applications until all positions are filled.

Graduate students who are enrolled in programs with service-based pricing (i.e., 131-programs) will not receive tuition remission for the TA positions they hold but they will receive salary. Please see policy: https://policy.wisc.edu/library/UW-1029
