Rock Camp! 2021 Camper Application Form
Application for Girls Rock! Canberra's Rock Camp program, Monday 20 – Friday 24 September, 9am-3pm at Ainslie Arts Centre, Braddon.
Thanks for applying to be a camper at our spring Rock Camp program! Please answer all questions to the best of your ability. If you have any questions or feedback you can email us at

Location: Ainslie Arts Centre, 30 Elouera St, Braddon ACT
Time: Monday 20 – Friday 24 September, 9am-3pm
Showcase: Saturday 25 September, 1-3pm at Ainslie Arts Centre

NOTE: Camper participation in the Saturday showcase is a mandatory part of attendance. As campers will depend on their bandmates to be there at rehearsals, please make sure the camper will be able to attend the whole week of camp.

Rock Camp is for young people of marginalised gender identities ages 10-17 years old. This includes women (trans and cis), gender-diverse folk and trans-men. We recognise that gender is self-identified, and that there is a variety of language people may use to best express their experience of gender.
No prior music experience is needed - we welcome all musical abilities and genres!

Cost: $400 for the week, including morning tea. Financial aid (including full and partial scholarships) is available on a needs basis - we endeavour to meet all requests!

What to bring: GR!C will provide all musical instruments and workshop materials, as well as daily morning tea. Campers will need to bring a packed lunch and water bottle.

We will confirm all placements by Wednesday 25 August and camper fees will be due on Friday 10 September.
Please Note:
Before filling out this application, make sure you have carefully read the application page on our website, plus the Camper and Guardian FAQs:

We are unable to predict the number of applications we will receive. Due to changing COVID-19 restrictions we have limited places this year so we encourage you to apply early. We will have a waiting list if we reach capacity. Please note, an application does not guarantee a spot and we will confirm placements via email on Wednesday 25 August.

While we usually welcome applications from interstate, because of the impact of COVID-19 and the uncertainty of border restrictions, we will be prioritising applications from Canberra and surrounding regions (ie. Braidwood, Yass, Goulburn).

We strive to be as inclusive as possible. We promote respect and do not tolerate racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, or other discriminatory behaviour or expression.
