NISO Plus 2024 Global/Online Session Proposal
Please use this form to submit your idea for a session at NISO Plus 2024 - Global/Online (September 17–18, 2024). The conference will be fully virtual, and sessions will be comprised of a live screening of your prerecorded presentations (45 minutes maximum), followed by a live online audience discussion period; presentations must be ready for recording during August of 2024.

The goal of the conference is to bring together stakeholders from across the information community to identify challenges and opportunities, and to generate concrete ideas that will address them. We therefore welcome proposals on hot topics for our community, and that encourage audience participation in the discussion period.  Broad topics of interest include (but aren't limited to): archiving and preservation; data privacy and security; emerging technologies; global issues; information quality and ethics; metadata; metrics; open research, open data, and open access; research infrastructure; peer review; and sustainability.

As part of our ongoing efforts to improve and support diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility  (DEIA) in the information community (https://www.niso.org/what-we-do/DEIcommittee), we strongly encourage and will prioritize proposals that reflect a variety of perspectives—geographical, organizational, functional, etc.—and that acknowledge and address DEIA challenges and opportunities. We therefore recommend that you include either confirmed speakers or examples of who you plan to invite to speak.

We warmly invite suggestions for NISO Plus 2024 Global/Online sessions from across the international information community—librarians, publishers, vendors, and others. You'll see below that we're including a broad variety of times for sessions, to accommodate a wide range of global locations.

If you wish to submit more than one idea, please use a separate form for each one. The closing date for proposals is May 29, 2024, after which all proposals will be anonymized before being reviewed by a subset of the NISO Plus 2024 Planning Committee. We will notify everyone submitting a proposal of the committee's decision June 28, 2024 as to acceptance.
