Directorate of Research and Publications is planning to conduct an online course in research writing and proposal writing. The course will run for an 8-week period from 23rd September to 23rd November 2019 on OUT's e-learning platform. The online course will cover literature review, research and publication ethics, writing a grant proposal, and writing and publishing a research paper. To complete the course and receive a course completion certificate, you'll need to go through the content in each section and get a passing score on the multiple-choice quizzes. Extra credit will be given to those who complete the writing activities which include peer assessment.

The course will be facilitated by OUT staff members who have been trained on online facilitation skills. They will respond to questions from the participants and initiate topics for discussion. To be a successful course participant, you should plan to spend around 4 hours per week studying on the course. The course is designed for low-bandwidth connections, and there are no synchronous or live activities. You can study on the course in your own time. Further information will be given once the course begins.
