Our Junior Board Committee (JBC) is a powerhouse of enthusiastic professionals dedicated to uplifting Nashville's women and families through their exceptional leadership, philanthropy, and unwavering commitment to the mission, vision and programs of YWCA Nashville & Middle Tennessee.
The JBC is at the forefront of expanding our reach within the Nashville community by actively supporting YWCA programs. With a focus on diversity in race, sexual orientation, interests, and occupations, JBC's membership, leadership, and committees mirror the impactful initiatives we lead, such as the Key to the Closet Committee, Social Justice and Advocacy Committee, and Weaver Domestic Violence Shelter Committee.
Monthly meetings fuel JBC members' passion as they delve deeper into the YWCA's mission, programs, and events, showing their solidarity through volunteer work, donations, and financial support.
While not a path to the YWCA’s Board of Directors, there are ample opportunities for members to hone leadership skills through leading subcommittees and holding key positions on the JBC executive board.

About YWCA Nashville & Middle TennesseeYWCA Nashville & Middle Tennessee is dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all.
For over 125 years, we have helped women, children and families in Nashville and Middle Tennessee build safer, more self-sufficient lives. We do this by operating the largest domestic violence shelter in Tennessee so women and children fleeing abuse can heal – and we've opened a state-of-the-art pet shelter on our campus which will remove a barrier to safety and allow pets and people to escape abuse together. We empower youth to break down negative gender stereotypes through Girls Inc. and AMEND Together. We provide the tools needed to become successful in work and life through Dress for Success, Career Services, and our Family Learning Center.
Our programs are FREE to the thousands of people we serve each year and are offered to everyone.
