International House Host Family Program: Student Application
Dear international student/scholar,

Welcome to the UC Berkeley International House! To help ease your transition into American culture, we have created in partnership with many amazing volunteer families from the Bay Area, the International House Host Family Program! This is a unique opportunity to meet American families, make new friends and create beautiful memories.

The Host Family Program connects you to an American family for casual daytime and evening socializing. The time commitment is determined by you and your hosts. Overnight stays are not typically part of the hosting experience. Your host may invite you for meals, outings, mini trips and festivities. The goal for you and your host family is to get acquainted with a new culture, enjoy conversation and learn from each other in the International House spirit.
