I am excited to be able to offer the seasons for growth
program to our beautiful children here at OLGC
The program is for children who may had experienced any
sort of loss or grief.
Who is it for?
Children and young people aged 6-18 who are living with the
effects of change and loss. Many factors can cause change such as:
• Friends can come and go
• Loss of someone or something you love
• Parents and families separate
• Moving to a new place
• Impact of illness
• Family work-life changes
• Impacts of COVID-19 Change affects everyone differently,
as does grief.
It’s the impact of the change, not the event itself that
Seasons for Growth focuses on.
It is suggested that anyone affected by bereavement wait
6-12 months before participating in a Seasons for Growth program.
How does the program work?
The program is run over 6-8 sessions with groups of 4-7
participants and is facilitated by trained adults called “Companions”. I have
undergone 2 days companion training to be able to present the course to the
children. It is an amazing course and I am looking forward to working with the
children and presenting it to children. I would like to present the
sessions beginning next term, during school hours.
Please feel free to read to attached brochure and contact
myself or Adrian if you have any questions or would like your child/ren to
attend the course.
If you could rsvp by Thursday 21st September if you are
interested in your child attending the program, either by completing this form or contacting me or Adrian and then I will contact parents
with further information and details for next term.
Thank you for all your support and please feel free to
email or contact me if you have any questions.
