Discover Hidden Treasures: Making the Most of Community
What are your hidden treasures? Share your stories of community engagement and collaboration as well as other current local, regional, or national issues in the museum field.

The Kansas Museums Association is looking for your ideas that explore successes, challenges and opportunities for this year's conference. Of particular interest are session topics and roundtable groups about education and programming, collaboration, audience development, collections care, exhibits, administration and board engagement, volunteer management and any other topic related to the diverse and dynamic work happening in Kansas.

You supply the idea and the KMA Program Committee can help you find additional speakers, if necessary. Make this the best educational experience of the year and be a part of the 2018 KMA Annual Conference.

Selection Process
We will be selecting our slate of programs based on the information provided here. Please do not limit yourself and provide enough information to allow us to understand your session’s objectives. We know there is time to “flesh out” your ideas, and you may not yet know specific speakers, but please give us your thoughts on the number of speakers and their topics or points of view related to your session topic. If you have questions, please feel free to email Program Chair Zan Popp at zpopp@tscpl.org.

**Please Note: If you are interested in presenting a panel session or presenting with a partner, but do not have co-presenter or full panel, submit your proposal as is. KMA will work with you to complete the panel or find a suitable co-presenter.

Travel, lodging and other expenses are the responsibility of each presenter. Session times and dates are set by KMA, although we will be as accommodating of requests as possible.

All presenters are expected to register for the conference. No exceptions are permitted.

Proposals
Please provide all information necessary to give us a complete picture of your topic. Concurrent sessions will be 1 hour and 15 minutes. The round table session will be 30 minutes long, and will consist of about 15 minutes of your presentation and 15 minutes of dialog with attendees regarding your topic. You should prepare to present your round table 3 times in a row as attendees rotate through, for a total of 1 hour and 30 minutes in one block.
