Micromobility Booting Release form

Proper completion of this form is the first step in the booting release process for unregistered micromobility vehicles. Submitted forms generate an email to BikeUMD staff and will be reviewed as quickly as possible during business hours (Monday-Friday, 8:15 a.m.-4 p.m.). Once you have properly completed this form, an employee will email you with a code to release the u-lock boot. Please note that there is a $20 fee associated with the release of a u-lock boot.

Booting release is not available after business hours (Monday-Friday, 8:15 a.m.-4 p.m.).

All released u-locks and related instruction banners are due back to the DOTS office within 48 hours of the code being sent. U-locks can be returned directly to DOTS staff during business hours or to the BikeUMD drop box after hours; more information about this is available in the email containing the release code for the u-lock boot.

Should the u-lock and/or banner not be returned within 48 hours or are returned damaged, the micromobility user is subject to a $30 replacement fee for the u-lock and/or a $10 replacement fee for the banner.
