How long is the experience?A: This activity lasts approximately 30 minutes.
Q: What does this experience include?
A: This is a private encounter with two of our resident Sylvan Heights animal ambassadors. During this experience, an educator will introduce participants to a small reptile and a bird while learning about the animals. Participants will be able to take pictures with the animals, and be able to touch and interact with them. These ambassadors are not on public view in the park, so this is a unique opportunity to meet these incredible animals!

How much does a private Animal Encounter cost?A: The encounter costs $70, which includes up to two people. Additional guests are $35 per person. Participants must also pay park admission fees. Payment for the encounter and park admission is due upon check-in at Sylvan Heights. To see current park admission fees, please click here:

When are Animal Encounters available?A: Animal Encounters are available by reservation only on Fridays at 10:00 a.m. or 1:00 p.m.

What ages can participate?A: This activity is appropriate for all ages. Participants age 15 and under must be accompanied by a paying adult.

Can I request a specific animal?A: The specific animals met during this encounter will depend on availability and care schedules. We cannot guarantee a specific species or individual.
