Please enter your information into and submit this form to join the 'Cuse Ceasefire Coalition' (CCC)

By submitting this form, you are indicating an interest in working in coalition with Syracuse/CNY based social justice organizations. As part of our initial steps towards forming a coalition, the Syracuse Collective for Palestinian Liberation (SCPL) propose a division of labor into 4 ceasefire coalition working groups. When filling out this form, please indicate the group that you feel best suits your interests and skills. We will review the organization of the working groups when the coalition meets again on Tuesday, January 30 at 7pm.

We look forward to working in coalition and solidarity! VIVA PALESTINA! 🇵🇸

SCPL Proposes the Following Coalition Committees:

1) Action Committee

Main focus here is to elicit community interest and raise awareness through organizing rallies, marches, direct-action events, etc in support of a ceasefire resolution

2) Advocacy and Outreach Committee

Main focus is to identify and elicit the support of influential sectors and members of the Syracuse community (including business, nonprofit, religious institutions, and constituents); focusing on allies who can put pressure on the Common Council (CC)

This group will also identify constituents to meet with CC representatives in order to determine allies and hard sells on the CC (important for knowing where to focus our efforts)

3) Communication/Media Committee

Main focus is to create a media toolkit and quick response media kits. We would also like to focus on identifying biases in local coverage and seeding critiques and counter narratives to current coverage through editorials, open letters, and in the comments sections on local news sites. Finally, we would like to develop a list of media allies as well as alternatives sites, sources, and resources for publishing counter narratives.

4) Research Committee

Main focus is to Identify facts, data, statistics that will be persuasive for the CC and Syracuse residents; the research committee will feed into and back up the work of the advocacy and outreach committee (i.e., finding data and information that reflects issues, interests and commitments of CC members). Research will collect and analyze data and information about successful and unsuccessful ceasefire resolutions.
