Minibus transport will be available for most of these retreats.
The cost from Johannesburg to TRC (and vv) will be R500 each way.
The cost from Gaborone to TRC (and vv) will be R350 each way.

Please remember that you need valid visas for South Africa and Botswana, depending on your nationality. Please make your own arrangements for visas.

I, the undersigned, do hereby agree and undertake to indemnify and hold Tara Rokpa Centre harmless against any and all liability, loss, damage, costs or expenses of whatsoever nature and howsoever arising, which I may hereafter incur, suffer or be required to pay by reason of any loss or injury which I may suffer or sustain, including injury resulting in my death in connection with my attendance at any event at Tara Rokpa Centre, or at any time whether on retreat there or not, and whether on the Tara Rokpa Centre property or adjacent farm properties.

This indemnity shall be binding upon my heirs, executors and administrators, and shall inure to benefit Rokpa Trust, its members and successors.

This indemnity shall be construed and determined according to the laws of the Republic of South Africa, the Courts of which will have exclusive jurisdiction in determining any claims or disputes arising hereunder.

~ A standard R1800, non-refundable deposit is required to confirm all reservations. Please use your surname and date of retreat to identify your EFT payment.
~ In the event of cancellation, a paid deposit may be transferred to another retreat (within one year) or to another person on the waiting list.
~ Final payment is due two weeks prior to the beginning of the scheduled retreat.
~ No refunds can be made in the event that you leave the retreat earlier than planned.

Accommodation:
There are three retreat venues on the 280 hectare property, comprising old farmhouses and eco-buildings, such as the Octagon meditation hall. The Main Site is used for healing, spiritual and educational retreats and accommodates 28 people in twin/double rooms and a dormitory. Tara’s Valley is used for personal practice, accommodating 7 and the Training Centre is used for Tikologo environmental training, and accommodates 10 participants. The rooms are simple and rustic, and there is a male and female dormitory. Other accommodation, for large retreats, is available in local farmhouses. The Centre was founded in 2003 as part of the Rokpa International humanitarian organization. All vegetarian meals, snacks and bedding are provided in the accommodation price.

Check in/out:
Check in from 4-6pm on the first day of the retreat. Check out after lunch on the last day of the retreat.

Transport:
Minibus transport will be provided to the Tara Rokpa Centre, for visitors coming from O R Tambo Airport (Johannesburg, South Africa), or from Gaborone, Botswana. The Centre can be found on Google Maps at https://goo.gl/6cd06e.

Weather:
In winter (June - August), the average daytime high is 25°C and average night time low is 6°C, but it can drop to below freezing at night. You are advised to dress in layers and bring a hat, scarf, gloves and a fleece jacket for the evenings, as the dining hall is outdoors.

Please bring:
• Casual and comfortable shoes and clothing (for meditation, walking, hiking, etc.)
• Bathrobe and slippers (for use in communal bathrooms)
• Extra towels (TRC will provide one bath towel for the retreat)
• Alarm clock (TRC is unable to provide a wake-up call)
• Insect repellent and sunscreen
• Reusable water bottle
• Toiletries and personal care items

Visas:
Participants will need to ensure they have valid visas for South Africa.
