Please remember that you need valid visas for South Africa and Botswana, depending on your nationality. Please make your own arrangements for visas.
This indemnity shall be binding upon my heirs, executors and administrators, and shall inure to benefit Rokpa Trust, its members and successors.
This indemnity shall be construed and determined according to the laws of the Republic of South Africa, the Courts of which will have exclusive jurisdiction in determining any claims or disputes arising hereunder.
~ A standard R1800, non-refundable deposit is required to confirm all reservations. Please use your surname and date of retreat to identify your EFT payment.~ In the event of you canceling, a paid deposit may be transferred to another retreat (within one year) or to another person on the waiting list. If a retreat is cancelled, your deposit may be returned to you.~ Final payment is due two weeks prior to the beginning of the scheduled retreat. ~ No refunds can be made in the event that you leave the retreat earlier than planned.
Check in/out:Check in from 4-6pm on the first day of the retreat. Check out after lunch on the last day of the retreat.
Transport: Minibus transport will be provided to the Tara Rokpa Centre, for visitors coming from O R Tambo Airport (Johannesburg, South Africa), possibly Lanseria, or from Gaborone, Botswana. The Centre can be found on Google Maps at https://goo.gl/6cd06e.
Weather:In winter (June - August), the average daytime high is 25°C and average night time low is 6°C, but it can drop to below freezing at night. You are advised to dress in layers and bring a hat, scarf, gloves and a fleece jacket for the evenings, as the dining hall is outdoors.
Please bring:• Casual and comfortable shoes and clothing (for meditation, walking, hiking, etc.)• Bathrobe and slippers (for use in communal bathrooms)• Extra towels (TRC will provide one bath towel for the retreat)• Alarm clock (TRC is unable to provide a wake-up call)• Insect repellent and sunscreen• Reusable water bottle• Toiletries and personal care items
Visas: Participants will need to ensure they have valid visas for South Africa.
