I, the undersigned parent or legal guardian, hereby acknowledge and agree to the following Parent’s Code of Ethics in connection with my child’s participation in youth sports:

I agree to provide positive support, care, and encouragement for my child and all participants by promoting good sportsmanship at all games, practices, and related events.

I agree to place the emotional and physical well-being of my child above any personal desire to win and to contribute to a positive and enjoyable youth sports experience for all participants.

I understand that I may elect to move my child up one division after the child has completed two (2) years in a particular division, and that once a player is moved up, the player shall not be permitted to return to a lower division.

I agree to ensure that my child participates only in a safe and healthy sports environment.

I agree to support and respect coaches, officials, and league representatives in their efforts to provide a positive youth sports experience.

I agree to make every reasonable effort to ensure my child attends all scheduled practices and events, or to communicate in a timely manner with the coach regarding any absence.

I agree to maintain and support a drug-, alcohol-, and tobacco-free environment at all youth sports events and to refrain from the use of such substances at said events.

I acknowledge that youth sports are intended for the benefit of children and not adults.

I agree to make reasonable efforts to ensure that my child’s participation in youth sports is enjoyable, positive, and rewarding.

I agree to encourage my child to treat all players, coaches, officials, and spectators with respect, without regard to race, sex, creed, or ability.

I agree to support my child’s youth sports participation within my personal limitations, including, when possible, assisting with coaching, transportation, or other supportive activities, and by acting as a respectful spectator.

I agree that my child’s coach must be properly trained in the responsibilities of youth sports coaching and must comply with the applicable Coaches’ Code of Conduct.

I acknowledge and accept responsibility for the conduct and behavior of all family members, guests, and spectators attending my child’s games on my behalf.

I acknowledge and agree that once uniforms have been ordered, all registration fees are non-refundable.

I hereby acknowledge that I have received, read, and fully understand this Parent’s Code of Ethics Pledge and agree to comply with its terms as a condition of my child’s participation in the program.

I hereby irrevocably authorize and grant permission to OBALL, its officers, agents, representatives, and assigns, to photograph my son/daughter and to use, reproduce, publish, distribute, and display any and all such photographs, in whole or in part, in any medium now known or hereafter developed, including but not limited to websites, social media platforms, promotional materials, and printed publications, for lawful purposes.

I hereby waive any and all rights, title, and interest I may have in or to such photographs, including any right to inspect or approve the finished product or the use to which it may be applied. I understand and agree that no identifying information, including my child’s name, will be used in connection with such images on the website.

I release and hold harmless OBALL from any claims, demands, or causes of action arising out of or related to the use of such photographs as authorized herein.
