Mentor Interest Form
Our mission is to bring Journeyman mentoring communities to every town, city, and borough in the UK so that we support teenage boys to navigate adolescence so they grow into confident, connected, and self-aware young men.

We are so grateful that you are interested in this essential work.

As a small (but mighty) charity we can't do this without the generous support of our incredible network of volunteers. To ensure we can make the most of your interest and that we can point you in the right place, please consider how you might get involved with the current opportunities below.

Please note that we do receive all submissions to this form and will aim to reply to your inquiry within 10 working days.

We do not have any paid roles at this time.

Getting involved.
There are a few ways that you can get involved. You can either:
  • Join an Active JGroup as a new Mentor. These groups meet with teenage boys, fortnightly on weekday evenings. These groups are only running in Frome, Bristol, Stroud or Hereford at this time so you will have to be within easy traveling distance of these areas.
  • Join a growing network of Mentors who are setting up a New JGroup in one of these areas: Bournemouth, South Devon, Norwich, Edinburgh.
  • Set up a New JGroup in your area. Wherever you are, we would love to support you to set up a Journeyman Group that serves the teenage boys in your area. If you want to start a JGroup in an area we don't already serve, we will support you to do that.
  • Join us at our flagship Contemporary Rites of Passage Event as a volunteer mentor. When curating our mentor team for these events we will prioritise those mentors who are active in the ways described above. In some cases we will make special arrangements for those who can support in specific ways (elders, youth workers, facilitators, photographers, videographers etc). Details of those events can be found here (please note that mentors are required to turn up by 5pm on the Thursday before).
