Speaker biography:

Irene Tinagli is an Italian economist and Member of the European Parliament. Her work focuses on economic policy, innovation, and the social dimensions of European markets. Through her research and public service, she examines how economic policy and institutions influence growth, competitiveness, and opportunity across the European Union.

Moderator biography: 

Jason Furman is the Aetna Professor of the Practice of Economic Policy at Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government and a nonresident senior fellow at the Peterson Institute for International Economics. His work focuses on fiscal policy, economic growth, and the role of public policy in shaping economic outcomes. Furman previously served as Chair of the Council of Economic Advisers during the Obama administration, advising the president on domestic and global economic policy.
