Application for Workshop on Solar for Public and Affordable Housing
CESA will conduct a free full-day workshop on deploying solar for public and affordable housing. The workshop will be held on Tuesday, October 17th, 8am-3pm, at the Hyatt Regency Denver in Denver, Colorado.

All National Council of State Housing Agencies (NCSHA) Members, Annual Conference attendees, and other staff of state housing agencies are welcome to apply to attend this workshop. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until the workshop has been filled. CESA will notify you about whether you have been accepted to attend after it has reviewed your application.

Travel reimbursement is available to cover airfare and one night at the Hyatt Regency Denver for those selected to attend. If you will be seeking travel and hotel reimbursement, please indicate that on this form.

This workshop will examine the challenges providers face in deploying solar for public and affordable housing and will highlight strategies and ideas for state housing agencies and other public agencies to overcome those challenges. Participants will engage with leading experts from across the country in discussions on solar technology and markets, how solar can benefit affordable housing providers and tenants, solar project financing strategies, and how adding battery storage to solar projects can reduce lifecycle costs and provide resiliency benefits. This workshop is being conducted through CESA’s Sustainable Solar Education Project, which provides information and educational resources to state and municipal officials on strategies to ensure distributed solar electricity remains consumer friendly and accessible for low- and moderate-income households. The Sustainable Solar Education Project is managed by CESA and is funded through the U.S. Department of Energy SunShot Initiative’s Solar Training and Education for Professionals program.
