Thank you again, and we hope to see you at the workshop!
What is Oral History?
Oral history provides a more dynamic and personal picture of the past provided by records, statistics, maps, illustrations, and other historical material. Stories of eyewitnesses to events fill gaps in documented history, at times correct or even contradict written records. In an era where statistics and generalized knowledge dominate our perception of the world, oral history brings complexity to steer us away from broad generalizations of people and communities.
