CHSA Oral History Workshop (9.9.2021)
Dear friend,

Thank you for your interest in participating in the CHSA Oral History Workshop with Richard Cheu on September 9th from 6:00PM PT to 8:00PM PT.

The number of attendees for this workshop is limited to 20 persons. There will be a paired breakout session for this program, and to assure the quality of your experience, we have designed this screening process along with an ~20 minute pre-workshop assignment to complete.

We kindly ask you to please complete this questionnaire no later than Thursday, September 2, 2021, and we will get back to you with the link for registration ($10 ticket) and the assignment packet after reviewing your responses.

Thank you again, and we hope to see you at the workshop!

What is Oral History?

Oral history provides a more dynamic and personal picture of the past provided by records, statistics, maps, illustrations, and other historical material. Stories of eyewitnesses to events fill gaps in documented history, at times correct or even contradict written records. In an era where statistics and generalized knowledge dominate our perception of the world, oral history brings complexity to steer us away from broad generalizations of people and communities.
