The Board Members of StreetsblogMASS are excited and proud on how much we've grown over the past few years, as well as how much we've been integrated into the transportation news landscape across the Commonwealth. But, we have more to do! And with a staff of one, we could use your help. Are you interested in becoming more involved in StreetsblogMASS, either as a board member or volunteer? If yes, read on!

Be on the Engagement Committee: help us host events and create other ways to build community

Support journalism with technical/research stuff - like FOIAs and more (training to be provided!)

Be a freelance writer (this isn't a volunteer opportunity, we pay writers - but still a way to get involved!)

Volunteer at events, like tabling for StreetsblogMASS during festivals, etc.

Fundraising - help us raise money to support another full-time reporter

I'm interested in learning about being a StreetsblogMASS Board Member: Grow or lend your leadership and good non-profit governance skills by volunteering to be on the Board.

We are particularly looking for people that live or work in or beyond Greater Boston, people over 65, people of color, those that work in the corporate sector, like or have experience with fundraising, OR work or have experience in fields adjacent to transportation, such as public health, economic development, etc.

If you meet even ONE of these criteria, let us know, and let's chat about what it's like to be on the board.

I can’t get the check boxes to work — sorry again! I have fundraising experience, and many years of experience on nonprofit boards. Also, I’m disabled with mobility impairments, and perhaps that perspective would be useful.
