Flat Worms Student Application Fall 2017
Welcome to the application for for the fall 2017 Narrative Nonfiction Project Intensive. This program is open to published and unpublished writers with all range of experience. Don't be shy or intimidated!

In this application, we will be asking you for a brief description of what you'd like to write about, so give that some thought before you start on the form. We'd also love for you to send some writing samples at a later time.

The program will take place over seven evening workshops starting Oct. 3 and concluding Nov. 14, 2017.

Classes will take place Tuesday nights from 7-10 p.m. at Homestead in downtown Edmonton, and will include formal instruction, individual workshopping of student writing, and one-one-one mentorship from nationally-known nonfiction writers and journalists. Students will complete the program with a polished story, and will be connected with potential avenues to pitch and publish their work. (Spoiler alert: We really want to see you published!)

The cost of the workshop is $495 per person, to be paid after acceptance into the program. The Emerging Voices Scholarship makes two positions available free of charge.

Deadline for applications is Aug. 6, 2017. Applicants will be notified by Aug. 14, 2017.
