Region 1 RLDC 2019 Volunteer Registration
Thank you for your interest in volunteering for the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) Region 1 conference. The 2019 Regional Leadership and Development Conference's (RLDC's) theme is
"Power of the Past, Force of the Future!"

Portland State University (PSU) SHPE is excited to host this year's conference.
We thank you in advance for volunteering with us.

The RLDC 2019 will be held at Portland State University on April 11-14th.

Please continue reading below to select the dates and times you are available to volunteer. Once you have registered, our Volunteer Coordinators, Marina Aranda and Chabeli Arreola, will reach out via email to provide information about day-of logistics, further instructions, and updates.

Please register to volunteer before March 15.

Volunteer Position Descriptions
Set up / Registration:
Volunteers will help with the set up for registration, workshops, gala, or career fair. This will include table/chair set up, ensuring rooms for events/workshops are open and set up correctly with the correct number of seats, ADA accessible seats, and functioning presentation equipment.

Campus Guide:
Volunteers will be knowledgeable of the campus routes including ADA routes. Will be helping conference attendees to reach their destinations during the conference. They will provide assistance with other tasks that come up during the conference. This may include assisting presenters find their rooms, setting up for breakfast/lunch.

Volunteers will help with clean up and help organizers transport equipment and other materials to storage areas.

Opening/Closing Ceremony:
Volunteers will assist the SHPE board with anything that comes up during the ceremony. This may include helping attendees find the location of the ceremony, helping them find seats, or being on standby to help with anything that comes up.

For those that may only be able to participate for an hour or two, there is the floater option. As a floater, volunteers will be placed in one of the positions mentioned above depending on the time of day. Volunteers will help the board with whatever comes up.
