Croydon PrideFest 2019: Walking Parade participation form
LAST DAY TO REGISTER - FRIDAY 21ST JUNE 2019
The Croydon PrideFest walking parade is free to attend and open to everybody who would like to support our LGBT+ community and be part of this amazing festival. The parade will start from Marks and Spencer on NorthEnd Croydon CR9 1SH at 12.00noon on Saturday 13th July 2019 and will last approximately 40mins.

Starting from the meeting point outside Marks and Spencer on NorthEnd Croydon CR9 1SH, the parade shall be led along North End. Once at the tram track section between North End, High Street, George Street & Church Street we shall stop to give other groups time to catch up and arrive at this location. At this point all tall flags, banners or decorations exceeding the height restrictions must be taken down due to the low tram lines above which could create a health and safety risk. When ready, the parade shall continue down Church Street, over Reeves Corner, under the Jubilee Bridge, into lower Church Street, left into Waddon New Road, up the steps over the train bridge and into Wandle Park marking the end of the parade and the beginning of Croydon ParadeFest 2019.

There will be temporary road closures holds in place to allow the walking parade to take place and be advised that the parade walks along the tram tracks and there are stairs to climb. For those on the parade who can not manage the stairs or feel they can not complete the route you can take the tram (Church Street stop) heading towards Wimbledon for one stop which is Wandle Park. Please see website www.croydonpride.org.uk for more information.

We strongly advise all parade participants to:
– Arrive early, and be in position for 11:50am
– Please bring your own refreshments (no alcohol will be allowed)
– Please ensure you have adequate clothing (including footwear) sun protection, hats - just be prepared for all weather

Hand held pyro and/or flares are not permitted anywhere on site or on the route of the parade, and any individuals found to be in possession will face arrest and potential future bans by the Croydon PrideFest committee.

For those not wanting to take part in the parade can make their way to Wandle Park where you will be kept entertained with music, entertainment, street food, stalls, and much more from 12noon.

Further information and additional details about Croydon PrideFest 2019 will be published via our website and social media platforms. Please visit www.croydonpride.org.uk
