Lawrence Farmers Market Volunteer Interest Form
Please let us know what area and/or time you are interested and available in helping out the Market! We welcome all ages and abilities and have reasonable accommodation for needs. We are so grateful for your time to help increase access to locally grown food to everyone in our community!

PLEASE NOTE: We are an outdoor farmers market that runs RAIN or SHINE so please come dressed for the weather that day!

We operate every Saturday, April 11-November 21 at 824 New Hampshire St. from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Our Volunteer Opportunities Include: (Shifts can be broken up into smaller shifts)
  • Customer Count (at Market) 15 minutes 7:30 a.m.-7:45 a.m; 8:30 a.m.-8:45 a.m; 9:30 a.m.-9:45 a.m; 10:30 a.m.-10:45 a.m.
  • Market Setup + Teardown (at Market) 1.5 hours *Requires Ability to Lift & Carry* 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. or 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
  • Scavenger Hunt (at Market) 2.5 hours *Requires Further Screening* 7:00 a.m.-9:30 a.m.; 9:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
Kid Activities:
Scavenger Hunt: Weekly kid activity encouraging kids to participate in a simple scavenger hunt to find the seasonal local food item. Requires interacting with children, clicker counting, and handing out a prize. This activity is under a tent and can be done sitting or standing. Volunteers require additional vetting before they can work with kids. *all instructions and supplies included*

Customer Counts:
Volunteer for 15 minutes for a huge impact with the market! Clicker count every adult and child at one of our entrances and help us to catalog how many customers we have at the market to help us with tracking trends and applications for grant funds. Customer Counts happen the second Saturday of every month. 
All volunteers must sign a Liability Waiver. Volunteers for kid programming must receive additional screening before they can volunteer. 

Setup and Teardown:
Assist with carrying and setting up tables and chairs, signs, and other Market materials.
