Bill of Rights for People Experiencing Homelessness: Organizational Endorsement Form 2019-2020
Join with the Massachusetts Coalition for the Homeless in endorsing An Act Provding a Bill of Rights for People Experiencing Homelessness. The bill was re-filed for the new legislative session by Representative Smitty Pignatelli and Senator Becca Rausch as House Docket 2776 and Senate Docket 1952.

The bill outlines specific rights that people experiencing homelessness are entitled to including the right to move freely in public spaces, the right to equal treatment by municipal agencies (such as police departments), freedom from discrimination in employment, the right to emergency medical care, the right to register to vote and to vote, freedom from disclosure of records, and the right to a reasonable expectation of privacy of property.
