Welcome to the Grinnell Oratorio Society! By signing up here, you become an official Member of the Society, with all the rights, privileges and responsibilities pertaining thereto — and there are no dues! Returning members, we're so glad to have you back!
The Oratorio Society is open to all – students, faculty, staff, and community members - to get together on Mondays and have a good time singing tuneful, spirited music.
In the fall, we will be singing Joseph Haydn’s Mass in a Time of Trouble (Also known as the “Lord Nelson” Mass), and To the Hands, by the young Pulitzer-Prize winning composer, Caroline Shaw. For this November 19, 2:00 pm concert, we’ll be accompanied by a professional orchestra and soprano soloist Michelle Monroe, Alto Soloist Lisa Neher, and Bass Soloist Nicholas Miguel (tenor soloist TBA).
First meeting will be Monday, August 28, 2017, 7 p.m., Sebring Lewis Hall at Grinnell College's Bucksbaum Center for the Arts.
