Invitation to Participate on Julian Principal Interview Team

Dear Julian Middle School Staff and Families,

We have begun the search for the next principal of Julian Middle School. The posting is currently scheduled to close on Monday, June 8. Once it closes, the district's administrative team will review and assess all applicant information and hold quick screening interviews for all qualified applicants on Thursday, June 11. The assessment will be based on the job description for the position and the candidate profile that Julian staff, families and students created via the survey. Candidates who make it through this initial screening will then be invited to participate in team interviews.

The team interviews will be the second step in the selection process. Candidates will meet virtually with a team of staff members, parents/guardians, and building and District administrators that represent the diversity of Julian School. The team will interview each of the candidates and provide feedback based on the candidate profile. The third step of the process will be an interview with the superintendent's cabinet team. Selected candidates will then interview with Dr. Kelley.

The virtual team interviews will tentatively take place on Monday, June 15 and Tuesday, June 16 . If you are interested in serving on the interview team, please complete this survey to apply. The survey will close at noon on Monday, June 8. Everyone who applies to serve on the teams will be notified about the results of the selection process by Wednesday, June 10.

Team Diversity: As we assemble the teams, it is important that both of them represent the diversity of the school's students, families and staff. With this in mind, we are requesting, but not requiring, that people please provide us with information about the racial group that best describes them and the grade level of your student(s).

Tentative Time Commitment: Monday, June 15 and Tuesday, June 16. At this time, we are uncertain of the timeframe. This will be determined based on the number of candidates selected for second round.
