Pauli Murray Center Speaker Requests - Adults

Please submit this for to request a staff member to speak to your group or organization. Once this form is submitted, we will contact you for any additional information and to coordinate your request. We carefully consider all requests and will do our best to accommodate your group based on staff availability.

Please note that requests need to be made at least 3 weeks in advanced to give our staff time to coordinate appropriately. Availability for Black History Month, Women's History Month, and Pride month is limited. Note that the deadline for June 2025 requests has passed!

Description: A talk about Pauli Murray's intersectional identities and how those identities influenced Murray's life and work. This presentation is suitable for groups who already have basic knowledge of who Pauli Murray is.

Description: A talk focuses on Pauli Murray's accomplishments as an author and writer, highlighting how a lifelong love of words influenced Pauli's activism.

The Sacred Thread in a Life of Justice: Pauli Murray's Spiritual Life

Description: This talk explores the Rev. Dr. Pauli Murray’s spirituality by drawing out themes in Pauli’s sermons—prophetic truth-telling, human dignity and resistance, and transformation, hope, and renewal.
This talk is designed for audiences who are already familiar with Pauli Murray's life and activism. We recommend groups either A. Watch the Amazon Documentary 'My Name is Pauli Murray' B. Read one of Murray's books or C. Attend 'the Life and Legacy of Rev. Dr. Pauli Murray' lecture before selecting this talk.
$100 - $150 mandatory honorarium

Special Interest Talk Description: If you would like to collaborate with a member of our staff on a talk that fits your groups specific needs, a special interest talk is for you! Reach out to us about a custom talk about a topic of your choice, and we'll do our best to find a member of our staff who can speak to your groups interests and needs.
Minimum $350 mandatory honorarium
