Florida Grants Program
The Florida Center for Investigative Reporting provides individual grants of $500 to $5,000 to journalists working on Florida stories.

These grants, which are available to independent journalists and those working for news organizations, fund journalism in Florida’s public interest. Last year, FCIR funded a documentary short about voter disenfranchisement and a report on the Indian River Lagoon.

Projects may include traditional print stories, documentaries, radio reports, data visualizations and even more experimental efforts. Grantees will work under the guidance of FCIR’s staff and board and in partnership with traditional and emerging media.

To apply for a grant, please complete the form below. All applications for the current cycle must be submitted by May 12, 2017. If you have any questions, please email grants@fcir.org.
