Which roles do you feel most comfortable with?

Age Group Volunteer- This role is responsible for managing a select age group of kiddos (we will put you with your kiddos age group)on deck. You'll need to get them organized, make sure they know what stroke they're doing, and for younger age groups make sure they have goggles, etc. Chaperones will need to remain on deck with their assigned age for the entirety of the meet and will be responsible for turning their swimmers over to the Clerk of Course on time for each event.
Set Up- This role will need to arrive 30 minutes before everyone else and help move chairs, tables, sound system, etc.
Clean up- This role will need to stay 30 minutes after everyone else and help move chairs, tables, sound systems, etc.
Clerk of Course- Keeps the swim meet running in a timely fashion! This is a very important role for someone who is loud and organized. IYKYK.
Timer- You'll get a front row seat to the whole swim meet! Ideally, we're looking for people with new-ish iphones, but, also, always room for stopwatch timers, too. We need LOTS of these. There are typically 3 timers per lane- so- not as much pressure as it sounds like.
Refreshment Runner- keep our timers (and other volunteers) hydrated while they're doing their thing!
Stroke & Turn- Did you swim in high school/ college? THIS IS FOR YOU! You'll need a brief training- but- it'll all come back! We promise! This role is VITAL for a swim meet to run.
Ribbons- This role waits at the end of the pool at each heat and hands a "First Place" ribbon to each heat winner. You'll be busy, but at a repetitive pace.
Runner- This role is the go between with the timers and Score Table. You'll be moving constantly and need to feel comfortable collecting papers from timers and moving them to the Scorekeeper in a timely fashion.
Scorekeeper- Just as it sounds. You typically have a seat (sometimes even in the shade!) and will spend your time adding and collecting papers from runner.
End of Season Ribbons- This is a job that can be done on your own time, at home or at the pool. You'll be responsible for creating, collecting & sorting End of Season ribbons to be handed out at end of season celebration.
Personal Best Ribbons- This job can be done throughout the summer. We'll award our swimmers throughout the season with ribbons when they reach a new personal best. You can do these on your own time (we provide all the supplies) or, while you're waiting at the pool during practice.
