Children are welcome to group who have parents that are currently divorcing, newly divorced, or who are adjusting to life after divorce. This is a group where we all have something in common – our family has had a change, and everyone is no longer under one roof. Members of this group will find support with peers experiencing a family change while also providing an outlet for therapeutic conversation, opportunities for building resiliency, effective coping, and building a toolkit for a healthy outlook! This unique curriculum was created just for children in this stage of development to build resilience through a family change. The curriculum includes whole group and small group discussions and activities, journaling, mindfulness practice, identifying stressors and building coping strategies.
