Contemplative Prayer Retreat (Contemplatio)
Join us on October 12th for our third contemplative prayer retreat, a day of prayer and group reflection. We'll meet at the USC Religious Center (URC) at 8am and head out to the "Devil's Punchbowl," a rock formation on the north side of the San Gabriel mountains about 90 minutes from campus. We'll return to campus by 6pm.
The retreat is intended as an introduction to some of the concepts and meditative practices of early Christian mystics such as the "Desert Fathers and Mothers." Led by Associate Dean of USC Religious Life, Jim Burklo, and USC senior Jack Krone, this retreat is non-demoninational and open to all USC undergraduate and graduate students of any faith, including no faith! It is free to attend and lunch will be provided.
