Masa will hold its 8th Annual Día del Niño on Saturday, April 27th, from 2-4:30 PM and we need your help!
We are looking for volunteers to support in various areas, including:
*Early Literacy: support young children and their parents with literacy and art activities (MUST be bilingual Spanish-English for this role)*Sign-In: Sign in attendees (MUST be bilingual Spanish-English for this role)*Raffle: Sell raffle tickets to event attendees, announce winners, and distribute prizes*Clown assistant: Support the clown with making balloon animals, serving popcorn, and more!*Facilities and Operations: Assist in overseeing the facility and ensuring it stays clean and safe, assist with monitoring flow of people*U-Haul driver: Help us get items from Point A to Point B! Must have a drivers' license and be willing to provide support for a longer day (approximately 9 AM - 5:30 PM).
There are limited spots available for each station, and assignments to stations will be made at Masa's discretion.
The volunteer commitment details are as follows:
DATE: Saturday, April 27thTIME: 12:45-5:00 PMLOCATION: Neumann Hall, 601 Melrose Avenue, Bronx, NY 10455NOTE: You must be able to commit to volunteering the entire time, and be able to remain entirely focused on the event for its duration.
Current and former volunteers who have been previously screened by Masa are eligible to volunteer without completing further paperwork.
New volunteers will need to complete a volunteer application and reference check before being placed at a station.
